A girl can never have too many pretties!

Miss Bethany was in desperate need for a bigger hair clip board to accommodate her growing collection of pretties! Thanks Aunty Trac for the lovely birthday present!

There were 3 in the bed!

Look at these 3 beautiful children, resting after a trip to Toowoomba!

Teacher Gift- Crayon Monogram

As the end of another school years draws close, it was time to think of a gift for Miss Werber. A google search unearthed this crayon momogram that I thought would be an easy and personal gift. Although it turned out trickier and more time consuming that I planned, the end result was well worth it!

My advise is choose a chunky font- my first attempt was with a different font and it was near impossible to cut the crayons as small as they needed to be. I hope Miss Werber loves and and uses it for many years to come!

Note to self- do not leave mobile phone on car roof!

My poor mobile phone's life came to an abrupt end last week when I left it on the car roof and drove to pick Kaleb up from school! Fortunately I retraced my steps and found it in pieces on the highway! So thankful that my sim was okay! And loving my new phone :)

Ways to keep cool!

Our air conditioning decided to have a broken motor during the hottest 2 weeks of the year so far. We were without air con for 2 1/2 weeks and got creative and desperate to keep cool. Nothing like a bit of water to cool the kids down though.

Our veggie patch

Tomato- we have 3 plants and what looks like 3 different types of tomatoes

Corn- there are 24 cobs growing at the moment- not sure what they'll end up like

Basil

Lebanese Cucumber Vine- have had 6 cucumbers so far- Jas is enjoying the pickled cucumbers

Pumpkin Vine- oh how excited were we to have this self sewn vegetable- just waiting now

Welcome Elijah John

Our family welcomed our new cousin and nephew Elijah John Brown on 16th November! He is a beautiful little man and my boys are already talking about all the things they will do ie fishing and afl, when he is bigger!

I also successfully upcycled a ladies dress into a skirt, shorts and pillowcase top for Bethany and am regretting not taking before photos of the dress. It was sad to pull the dress apart (it was a layered grey and yellow dress- quite pretty) but satisfying to upcycle it for Bethany for a cost of $4!

Happy 2nd Birthday Bethany

Despite waking up far too early, Miss B enjoyed a lovely day for her birthday, with lots of lovely gifts and a fun morning at bible study. Thanks Nana & Grandad for coming out for dinner and making her day extra special!

Our happy family very early in the morning!
